Platinum Consulting Group is a registered practice with the IMCA and our principal (Darragh Murphy) is a CMC - a Certified Management Consultant. We have recently undertaken the development of two project concept development proposals on behalf of private clients. These projects involved an examination of the development site area, its physical resources and its potential for leisure activities. We examined the best product mix and estimated the potential planning issues for our clients. Having examined the potential, we developed a strong interactive mix of projects within the bounds of the clients terms of reference. Finally, we produced well documented and strategically astuit business development strategies. We have undertaken a range of projects on behalf of property developers in the development of Information Memorandums, outline Business Plans and Feasability Studies. Our expertise have assisted these clients to raise finance and to bring their projects to the market. Platinum
Consulting Group have undertaken the National Craft Survey on behalf of
the Crafts Council Of Ireland over a three year period. This research
survey involved surveying and interviewing approximately 1500 members
of the Craft industry in Ireland and we achieved an exceptional response
rate during our tenure on this project. With over 400 responses each year,
this response rate has surpassed the clients expectations and has offered
them an exceptionally high degree of data confidence in our research analysis.
Platinum Consulting Group carried out the pilot LINK-IT programme on behalf of Leitrim County Enterprise Board and Carrickfergus Enterprise Agency. This programme took place in 1999, was a cross boarder initiative and was a resounding success. Both these agencies and especially the delegates believe that this programme was a resounding success. Delegates were asked to evaluate the programme on a range of issues and all delegates rated the programme, its delivery and the standard of facilitator as “Excellent”. Many delegates commented that this programme was the best and most useful initiative which has ever been undertaken. The development of a portal site proposal for a Dublin based company.
We examined the potential of the market for crafted goods, measured
the market size, identified the technical issues involved in the development
of an e-commerce portal site and identified potential funding agencies
on behalf of this client.
The
development of a feasibility study and grant application for the development
of the Tourism Research Centre affiliated to The Dublin Institute Of Technology
- Cathal Brugha College in Dublin. The
Research Centre was established to gather and disseminate information
relating to tourism in Ireland. The
project has proven extremely successful and is now fully operational. This project was also successful in securing a seeding grant.
Development and implementation of a series of eight workshops in the
North West. These workshops which covered areas such as Health, Hygiene
and Safety in the Workplace, Marketing, Funding Issues, Customer Care
and Innovation in Tourism were highly popular within the tourism industry
in the North West. These workshops were aimed at the development of the
tourism industry and ongoing training within the industry. The feedback
from this series was very positive and it is likely that this series will
be run on a regular basis.
The Principal of Platinum Consulting Group, Darragh Murphy, has been
a part-time lecturer in Computer Applications and MIS in the Dublin Institute
Of Technology, Cathal Brugha Street over the last five years.
This post involved the design, implementation
and delivery of IT lectures to a range of undergraduate and postgraduate
students. Darragh was also involved
in the development of course syllabi for the application for University
status for DIT colleges.
The investigation and analysis of the future development of Birr Town. This project involved the assessment of the aims and objectives
of a range of interest groups in the town together with local authority
and national agency development requirements for the town. Our report outlined the existing aims and objectives of all of
these groups and identified potential concept developments for certain
built assets within the town. We assessed the potential of technology based
industry, tourism, industrial and retail aspects of the town with a view
to co-ordinated and co-operative future development in Birr. As part of this initiative, Platinum Consulting
Group held information and discussion group sessions with a range of interested
parties. These sessions were informative,
educational and interactive.
Investment opportunities and project appraisals throughout Ireland
on behalf of one of our international financial institutions. This involved identifying and assessing many
businesses for potential investment purposes.
A visitor survey analysis for a Dublin based exhibitions company. This
broad ranging survey examined many issues and aspects of the Trade Exhibition
Business in Dublin.
